Padma Bhushan Awardee and versatile Indian Actor visits Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir
Sri Anupam Kher, the Indian actor who has entertained the cinema goers with a wide variety of roles visited Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir today. Speaking about his visit to the center he said, “I am glad I came here at the beginning of this amazing spiritual center. I already feel the vibration of a great moment.” He was received by Sri Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa, Senior Vice President and Shri Bharatarshabha Dasa, Vice President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir. He had the darshan of deities of the temple and took the blessings of Lord Krishna. He visited the construction site at the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir and witnessed first-hand the progress made on the construction of the upcoming skyscraper temple for Lord Krishna.
He also met some of the Founder Patrons of the temple from Mathura and encouraged them to extend all possible support to the temple. He also specifically met Shri Bipin Garg and his family and spent some time with them. Shri Bipin Garg is one of the very early founder patrons of Chandrodaya Mandir.
Speaking about his visit Sri Narasimha Dasa said “We are very happy to have with us an actor of versatile talent and stature Shri Anupam Kher visit our center here. We hope that his visit inspires other celebrities in lending support to this upcoming project.”
He also shared lunch which some of the children who are beneficiaries of the Akshaya Patra mid-day meals in Mathura. It may be recalled here that the Akshaya Patra Kitchen which located in Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir campus feeds to over 1.4lac children every day in Government Schools of Mathura district. It serves nutritious mid-day meals to students studying in the government schools in as part of the mid-day meals programme of the state. Akshaya Patra foundation has been feeding school children in Mathura district since 2004 and its efforts have been lauded by both the government and beneficiaries alike.
