Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, Gurugram centre on Sunday, 30th April 2017 conducted a grand Sankirtana event on the auspicious occasion of AkshayaTritiya at Pitampura, New Delhi.
The programme began at 6 PM in the evening with Sankirtana. Sri Sri GauraNitai who were taken to the venue at Pitampura were placed in a decorated altar. Devotees performed Sankritana and danced ecstatically. His Grace Yudhishthira Krishna Dasa, Vice President, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir gave an absorbing talk on the significance of AkshayaTritiya. Narrating historical incidents that occurred on day of AkshayaTritiya he brought out the glory of Lord Krishna and His devotees. From the Mahabharata he spoke about the AkshayaPatra that was given to the Pandavas by the Sun God and from the Srimad-Bhagavatam about the appearance of the river Ganges and the meeting of Lord Krishna and His childhood friend Sudama at Dwaraka.
Then Arati was offered to Sri Sri GauraNitai to the accompaniment of joyful Sankirtana. At the end all the assembled devotees were served dinner feast Prasadam.
