Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir performed Bhumi Puja of Sri Radha Raman Mandir, its first satellite centre in Gurugram, Haryana on Sunday 29th April 2018.
The magnificent temple has been designed using fusion architecture by combining the elements of both traditional Indian and modern architecture. When completed, the temple will stand 108 feet tall and dot the skyline of Gurugram. The complex will also include an Annadan Hall, Vedic Samskar Hall and a center for spiritual learning.
The auspicious Bhumi Puja ceremony included Sabha prarthana, Svastivachana, sankalpa, Vasudeva punyavachana, Rakshabandhana, VasthuPurusha Puja, Lakshmi BhuVaraha puja, havan etc. The atmosphere vibrated with vedic chants and sankirtan.
The Chief guest, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki said that “Real India can be seen by seeing the Hare Krishna Movement.” He also compared smart cities with all its development to Ravan’s Lanka,if it lacks spiritual training centres like the temples. He added that “We should have smart cities like Ayodhya and not Lanka”.
The event was presided by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman and Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa, President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir and the guests of honour were Smt.Madhu Azad – Mayor, Muncipal Corporation, Gurugram, Sri Umesh Aggarwal – MLA, Gurugram, Sri Tejpal Tanwar – MLA, Sohna, Dr. D Suresh – Commissioner, Gurugram Division.
