Nagar Sankirtan in Vrindavan on the auspicious occasion of the Disappearance day of Srila Jiva Goswami
Disappearance day of a great Vaishnava personality marks his entrance into the eternal, divine pastimes of Sri Radha Krishna. Hence, although devotees feel the loss of his association, they celebrate his transcendental achievement.
Srila Jiva Goswami is one such great Vaishanava personality whose brilliant spiritual contributions will forever enlighten the path of especially those fortunate souls who have taken shelter of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.
Srila Jiva Goswami’s Disappearance day was celebrated with great pomp at Sri Sri Radha Damodar Mandir, in Vrindavan from 20th to 22nd December 2017.
SRI SRI RADHA DAMODARA
Sri Sri Radha Damodar Mandir is an ancient temple established by Srila Jiva Goswami in the year 1542 C.E. Sri Sri Radha Damodar deities were manifested by Srila Rupa Goswami, who gave them to his dear disciple and nephew-Jiva Goswami for service and worship. This temple enshrines Srila Jiva Goswami’s Samadhi too.
On 22nd December 2017, a huge Nagar Sankirtan was organised and on this auspicious occasion Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir rendered Sankirtan seva. The Nagar sankirtan started at 9.30am and covered areas like Loi Bazaar, Radha Shyamsunder temple, Radha Raman temple, Radha Gopinath Temple, Rangji Temple.
The Nagar Sankirtan ended with Bhoga Arati at Sri Radha Damodar Mandir and huge prasadam feast for nearly 1500 people.
