The excavation work will begin on the occasion of Janmashtami.
The temple is being built by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).
“The temple will stand 210 meters (700 feet) high with 70 floors and be spread across 5.5 acres at its completion, making it the tallest and largest religious structure in the world,” an ISKCON official told media.
