The auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya was celebrated at Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, Gurugram centre on Saturday, 29th April 2017.
The programme began at 6 PM in the evening in the Gurugram centre with Sankirtana, Pravachana, Arati and Prasadam. The Altar of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai was decorated with flowers. Devotees sang and danced to Sankritana. His Grace Yudhishthira Krishna Dasa, Vice President, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir delivered an interesting pravachana on the significance of Akshaya Tritiya.
Recounting the historical events that occurred on Akshaya Tritiya. From the Mahabharata he spoke about the Akshaya Patra that was given to the Pandavas by the Sun God and from the Srimad-Bhagavatam about the appearance of the river Ganges and the meeting of Lord Krishna and His childhood friend Sudama at Dwaraka.
This was followed by Arati offered to Sri Sri Gaura Nitai and joyful Sankirtana. At the end, all the assembled devotees were served dinner feast Prasadam.
