Jijnasa Inaugural Session at IIM Indore


Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir conducts a regular programme at some of the premier educational institutions in different cities in India as well as abroad called Jijnasa. The teachings of Vedic literature like the Bhagavad-Gita guide human beings to achieve happiness by elevated thinking and action. By empowering the leaders of tomorrow with the spiritual teachings of the Gita, the programme wishes to lay the foundation of an enlightened and peaceful society.

Jijnasa is a weekly spiritual awareness programme. The programme is designed as a series of nineteen presentations each touching upon a vital aspect of spiritual understanding. The Jijnasa modules have been tailored to appeal to the scientific mind. The enduring relevance of the eternal truths illustrated with rich contemporary examples gives students valuable insights into the spiritual approach to life.


The inaugural session of Jijnasa was conducted at IIM Indore on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Students of the Post Graduate Program (PGP) from First and Second year attended the session. The speakers at the session were:

  • Sri Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa – Senior Vice-President, and Project Director, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir,
  • Rahul Sirohi – Alumnus IIM Indore; Working with Cognizant Business Consulting.

Apart from the speakers, two Alumni of the institute also attended the event

  • Harshad Sachani, (KPMG) &
  • Shailendra Bhogaraju

The illustrious speakers spoke of the salubrious influence of spiritual teachings in effectively dealing with challenges in their careers and personal lives. Students eagerly sought clarifications after their inspiring talks. The students got a taste of practical spiritual activity by chanting Hare Krishna Maha Mantra on chanting beads. At the end of the event, Prasadam was served to all the participants and the speakers and alumni spent some enlivening moments in informal discussions with the students.

The inaugural session was organised with the enthusiastic participation of some senior students of the institute.
