U.S. Congress Woman Ms. Tulsi Gabbard Visits VCM

During her recent visit to India, American Congress Woman Ms. Tulsi Gabbard visited Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir on 1st January 2015.

Ms. Gabbard is a member of the US House of Representatives. She is also an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna and a follower of Srila Prabhupada, the Founder- Acharya of the Hare Krishna Movement and the inspiration behind the VCM project.

Sri Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa, Senior Vice President and Sri Yudishtira Krishna Dasa, Vice President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir received Ms. Gabbard and took her on a guided tour around the VCM and Akshaya Patra campus in Vrindavan.  Ms. Gabbard offered her sincere obeisances to Srila Prabhupada as soon as she entered the temple hall. Later, the devotees made a presentation to her on VCM project’s goals, aspirations and the progress achieved so far.

Ms. Gabbard expressed happiness on the progress made by Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir and wished for the success of the initiative. She also mentioned that Bhagavad Gita As It Is should be popularised and  its message should be made known to one and all.

It may be recalled that Ms. Tulsi Gabbard had earlier presented ‘Bhagavad Gita As It Is’ by Srila Prabhupada to Sri Narendra Modi, Honorable Prime Minister of India. According to DNA India,  Ms. Gabbard said “The Bhagavad Gita is the “perfect textbook” for those who are striving to be “servant leaders” and its message is relevant for all days and ages” in a talk on ‘The Future of Indo-US Relationships.’
