About Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir

Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir is a project initiated by the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore, with the aspiration to establish a world-class, iconic monument dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna in the sacred land of Vrindavan. Inspired by the directive of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of ISKCON, this monumental
endeavor seeks to celebrate and preserve the spiritual and cultural legacy of Braj.

Strategically located on Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg—the principal approach road to Vrindavan—the project features a towering temple-cum-heritage complex. The centerpiece of the development is a grand temple devoted to the worship of Lord Sri Krishna, integrating traditional Indian temple architecture with modern design aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from the historic Sri Madanmohanji Mandir and Sri Radha Govindji Temple, the architectural design pays homage to Vrindavan’s spiritual heritage while embracing contemporary construction excellence.

Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir is envisioned not just as a temple, but as a comprehensive cultural and spiritual hub. It aims to communicate the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam in a manner relevant to the modern world. This complex will serve as a center of learning and inspiration, drawing spiritual seekers, thought leaders, scholars, and visitors from around the globe.

Celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of Braj, which has flourished through art, music, literature, dance, and drama centered around Lord Krishna’s divine pastimes, the Mandir will significantly contribute to the promotion of heritage and cultural tourism. This iconic project is poised to catalyze the holistic development and well-being of the region.

The South Wing of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir is scheduled for a grand inauguration in 2024, marking a significant milestone in the realization of this historic undertaking.

Social Initiatives

For over two decades, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir has been actively engaged in impactful social intervention programs across the Braj region. Key initiatives include:

  • Akshaya Patra Mid-Day Meal Program: Providing nutritious meals to underprivileged schoolchildren in Braj, supporting both education and nutrition.
  • Support for Widows of Vrindavan: Offering welfare and rehabilitation services to uplift and empower widows in the region.
  • Restoration of Braj Heritage Sites: Reviving and preserving sacred locations associated with Lord Krishna’s pastimes.
  • Revival of River Yamuna: Undertaking efforts to restore the Yamuna River to its original purity and ecological health.
  • Goshala (Cow Shelter): Promoting cow protection and sustainable practices in alignment with the traditional values of Braj culture

We invite all well-wishers, devotees, and visionaries to become a part of this monumental “Pride of India” project and contribute towards the spiritual and cultural renaissance of Vrindavan.
