Job Overview:
As a Visual Merchandiser in the retail sector, will be responsible for creating attractive and engaging displays that communicate the product's message clearly and enhance the customer shopping experience. To work closely with the buying team and store management to design strategic merchandising layouts that align with occasional and seasonal campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Display Creation:
- Design and implement visually appealing merchandise displays to attract customers and promote products.
- Use signage and other visual tools to communicate product USP, benefits, and promotions clearly.
- Ensure that all visual standards comply with Temple guidelines.
- Merchandising Strategy:
- Analyze sales data and customer behavior to develop merchandising strategies that optimize product visibility and sales.
- Collaborate with Purchase department and store management to plan Occasional/seasonal displays and promotional setups.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels to ensure displays are well-stocked and maintained.
- Work with the inventory team to manage product rotation and seasonal transitions.
- Team Training:
- Train staff on visual merchandising standards and techniques
- To inspire the staff so that they understand the importance of maintaining display standards.
- Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging visual merchandising techniques.
- Conduct regular visits to other retail locations to gather inspiration and benchmark performance.
- Performance Analysis:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of visual merchandising efforts by tracking sales performance and customer feedback.
- Make data-driven recommendations for future merchandising initiatives.
- Maintenance:
- Ensure that displays are kept clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing at all times.
- Regularly update displays to reflect new arrivals, and promotional events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
Prior experience in visual merchandising and retail operations (minimum 2-3 years).
Strong understanding of current visual merchandising trends and practices.
Excellent creativity and ability to think outside the box.
Proficient in working Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with visual merchandising.
Capability to lift and move merchandise as needed for display setups.
